Meditation - We Remember!

On this precious day REMEMBRANCE DAY, may we recall all who sacrificed for the gift of LIBERTY in our life.

TODAY we recognize the enormous sacrifice and precious service of our Veterans and their families.

A veteran himself, Steve West, a chaplain and retired from the Air Force, recently published his book, "The Bronze Scar," which detailed his journey and invisible gloom of war in which he suffers especially from a comeback of PTSD, herein the bronze scar at Iraq as he was at Iraq at that time, hence the title of the book, "The Bronze Scar."

Here is a very narrative compelling story from Steve's book which is just about three paragraphs that I'd like to share with you.

"A young woman once walked into my office with tears and asked if she could talk. Before I could even respond, she sat, buried her hands on her face, and cried uncontrollably.

In the moments that follow, she fought for her composure, apologizing for her emotional state, and starting to tell me her story.

Two weeks earlier her husband walked out of the house and had not returned leaving this young bride and a mother of a newborn child to fend for themselves.

She didn't know where he had gone and had only received a few short email messages from him. The only certainty is that his life was in danger and he might never come back home.

the picture she painted was familiar with so many chaplains and counselors today.

Her husband wasn't a deadbeat dad. Another woman had not stolen his heart. It wasn't lack of commitment and responsibility that took him away.

It was his deep commitment and a sense of responsibility that caused him to leave. He is a member of the United States Armed Forces deployed to an undisclosed location to serve his country in an uncertain time.

These men and women along with their families live complicated lives.

And so on this Veterans Day, I invite you to lift up in prayer not only our veterans who had sacrificed so much for us but also their family members. No matter if you prayed or not, this is about the lives of our veterans who selflessly give off of everything so we can have our freedom.

"Have mercy on all our veterans. Bring peace to their hearts and to the regions which they fought. And bless all their loved ones so they too can have peace in their minds, love in their hearts, strength in their bodies, and rest in their souls."

"ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL. WE REMEMBER."

Thank you all so much for your precious time reading this post.

God is with you all always in all ways.

In light, love, and peace,

Elizabeth
