A reporter once interviewed a billionaire on her show. She wanted to know how the billionaire got so rich, so she asked him the secret to his massive wealth.
The billionaire told the reporter, “I’ll answer your question, but first of all, here is a blank check. You can put in it whatever amount you want.”
The reporter flushed red, looking offended. She thought that the billionaire was messing with her, so she returned the check to him.
Again, the billionaire handed her the check and told her the same thing. “Put in it whatever amount you want, and I’ll make sure the bank gives it to you.”
The reporter, now looking upset, gave the billionaire back his check. For the third time, the billionaire gave the reporter the check, and for the last time, the reporter refused. Fed up with the antics, the reporter said, “Stop trying to make a fool of me!”
Finally, the billionaire said, “I am not. I am giving you an opportunity. I told you to put in any amount you want, but instead, you chose to think negative things about me instead of grabbing the opportunity. This is the secret to my wealth — I grab every opportunity that comes my way. Even if it seems too good to be true.”
I’m no billionaire but I’m offering you an opportunity too. But it goes to deaf ears and so the opportunity never really gets lost. It just goes to somebody else who has the vision to grab it and create something much bigger for the world.
Are you the one who is so negative about an opportunity being offered to you?
Do you reject at once all the wonderful gold mines out there being shared with you even though you don't even know what they are yet?
So many people could not see beyond their present situation. They are stuck with their broken mentality and poverty thinking that is why when someone offered them a wholesome opportunity all they could think about is the ugly head coming out of their minds.
That is why they remain broke for the rest of their lives and watch their employer getting richer and richer through their own hard work for them, sometimes 60, 70, or even 90 hours a week working for somebody else just to make ends meet.
It is a choice and a simple decision to say yes, "I'll do it," even if you don't know it and just learn it after. I can assure you that it would be the best decision in your life and eventually, you can live your dreams.
Thank you so much for your time reading this magical post and hope it awakened you to at least try.
You are more powerful than you think you are.
God be with you always in all ways.
Elizabeth
